Taylor's was voted as the Most Popular Private College and/or University in Malaysia for a consecutive two years in 2008 and 2009, out of more than 100 other institutions. These results were based on the Malaysian Student Survey which surveyed close to 9,000 respondents aged 16 to 19.
In July 2010 Taylor's University was rated as 'Tier 5: Excellent' by the Ministry of Higher Education in the 2009 Malaysian Qualifications Agency Rating System for Malaysian Higher Education Institutions (SETARA '09), which measures quality of teaching and learning at the undergraduate level in universities and university colleges in Malaysia. In 2012, the quality of teaching and learning at Taylor's University was once again acknowledged when it garnered a 'Tier 5: Excellent' rating in the Rating System for Malaysian Higher Education (SETARA '11), by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia for the second time.
In 2010, Taylor's won the Putra Brand Award (Gold) in the Education & Learning category; another testament of its unwavering commitment to deliver the best in education. This recognition from the industry and 6,000 consumers who were involved in the online survey adds another feather in the cap for Taylor's. Taylor's University won the Gold Award again in 2011 and 2012, reinforcing Taylor's reputation as the people's choice.
Winning the Reader's Digest Trusted Brands Gold Award for two consecutive years - 2011 and 2012, an award that demonstrates true consumer trust through an independent survey, also illustrated Taylor's solid place in the hearts of many Malaysians. Achieving Trusted Brands status is a genuine recognition of consumers' approval as the survey reflects consumers' choice of their most trusted and favourite brands among the thousands available in the market.
Taylor's University was name the Best Brand in the Education category for Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, at the BrandLaureates SMEs Chapter Awards 2011. Being awarded for its dedication and quality education in the field of hospitality, tourism and culinary arts under the Corporate Branding category serves as a great start for the year 2012 for Taylor's University.
In July 2011, Taylor's University achieved yet another first when it received the biggest research grant awarded to a Private University by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), under the Long Research Grant Scheme (LRGS). The award of the RM9million grant demonstrates the government's confidence in Taylor's research and development strengths as well as its ability to deliver on such a huge project.
The Taylor's University Lakeside Campus received the prestigious PAM Gold Award in September 2011 from Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), in Category 5 (Education), for its inspiring architecture and landscape.The PAM awards are the premier architecture awards in Malaysia, held bi-annually to recognise the best in architectural work around Malaysia.
The Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM) also awarded Taylor's University Lakeside Campus the Special Honor Award in Category 3: Professional Awards in Landscape Design and Planning at the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards (MLAA) 2012. ILAM presents the annual MLAA awards to honour the best in landscape architecture from various aspects of the industry for projects completed in Malaysia and abroad.
Together with the award received in 2011 at the Global Interior Design Award, Taylor's University Lakeside Campus is the first and only property development in Malaysia to be awarded in all three building categories namely Interior Design, Architecture and Landscape.
